BridalifeStyle Poll: What I Want In A Wedding Magazine

Ok, here is a poll for you.

Right from the start of the BridalifeStyle Wedding Magazine, was a focus on  listening to the bride to be and what she was looking for in regards to information and help planning her wedding.

BridalifeStyle Featured on OklaVision Live

The magazine was barely off the presses when we were contacted by OklaVision Live wanting to interview us about this new magazine…..in just 6 days. EEEK!

With so much happening, the BridalifeStyle Wedding Showcase and a new magazine being launched at the Showcase along with all of the harried, frenzied, crazy details that makes up creating such an event…..we were stunned, excited and flat out nervous to say the least.

I mean this was fresh acknowledgement outside of the team. Yes, friends and family loved what we had put together but the real test hadn’t even begun and now, we are supposed to make a decision like this? Holy cow!!!

This was a wonderful opportunity and we decided to fly in the face of seeming danger and do what we do best. We poured our hearts and souls….along with blood (those paper cuts hurt), sweat and tears…..added to that a lot of super late nights, sleepless nights and more into this first issue. So much had to be right and we wanted to give Oklahoma brides so much more than they have access to. Not trying to sound haughty, but we wanted to change the way brides in our State see Oklahoma. And we were rewarded.

Once folks got their hands on the BridalifeStyle Wedding Magazine, we were gratified to hear that people liked it and were excited about it too.

It has been less than a month since the interview and it seems like it was forever ago. The incredible staff at OklaVision created such a warm and friendly environment. Basically they were Oklahomans filled with the giving and nurturing nature that we all have come to realize is a true Oklahoma quality.

You are planning the biggest gig of your life and, along with the BridalifeStyle Wedding Magazine, Wedding Showcases and Websites, we hope to inspire you, excite you and help you make planning your wedding easier and more fun.

Who The Heck Are We?

BridalifeStyle was put together by myself, Roy, and Jamie of Colorband PhotoArtisans.  As wedding merchants thriving in the Oklahoma landscape, we have witnessed the gamut of brides, their families and their struggles both before and after the wedding day.  There are tons of blogs and magazines out there but, through the years and countless conversations with the brides we had the honor of working with, felt something was missing.  So from a point of view rarely seen in this industry, the one of an experienced wedding merchant, we set out to do so much more than just focus on the platinum wedding or the wedding that has nothing to do with Oklahoma.

What’s The Big Deal?

The mission was clear:  Focus on Oklahoma, the real weddings and the awesome locations, merchants, talents and inspired ideas that make Oklahoma great!  Still, looking out to the world and seeing the fabulous things going on and THEN bringing that back to our neck of the woods and showing how you can integrate those things, from the new trend to the old trend with a twist, into your Oklahoma wedding.  Our team, Brittany, Stephanie, Jamie and myself will constantly be on the lookout for all things fabulous in Oklahoma and will be sharing them with you.

What Is BridalifeStyle?

First of all, allow me to share with you what BridalifeStyle is NOT.  BridalifeStyle is not a soapbox for a select few wedding vendors or a tiny, elite portion of the wedding world. BridalifeStyle IS an all encompassing, something for every bride, spotlight on the best that Oklahoma has to offer, from ideas to merchants, locations to favors, a whole new land of ideas and solid information will be at your fingertips.  In our blog, you will find even more. No stone will be left unturned.  No punches will be pulled.  BridalifeStyle goes further into the process, immersing you in the experience and showing you what is out there for you, the bride, planning her wedding;

Then we turn everything on its ear.  You will see it all.  Sometimes excited, sometimes frustrated, the emotions and realities that go along with the fantasies will be on display for all to see.

The first issue of BridalifeStyle Wedding Magazine releases at the BridalifeStyle Wedding Showcase, Sunday, January 8, 2012 at the incredible Civic Center Music Hall in Downtown OKC.  As we build the inaugural issue of BridalifeStyle Wedding Magazine and beyond, take the journey with us and experience the world of planning a wedding and the life beyond, for this is the BridalifeStyle.
